試以全球在地化的概念，論述對跨國企業廣告/行銷策略觀察

根據社會學家Giddens所說：「全球化是指世界社會關係的緊密化，據此連結了原本相隔遙遠的地方，進而使得本地事務由千里之外所發生的事件所形塑，反之亦然。」

如何找出世界各地消費者需求與欲望的一致性，使得企業或組織所要形塑價值觀能夠有效傳達，廣告與行銷的構思與執行是希望能在不同文化下引起共鳴的。

因此，有學者主張企業面臨全球化市場的來臨，宜採取「thinking global,acting local」的手法，亦即用全球化的思維，在地化的執行，使得效率最大化，同時兼顧回應當地市場的需求。

例如：麥當勞在世界各地所設立的分公司，皆執行標準化程序，大至企業識別系統、組織管理結構，小至店內裝潢、服務態度以及食物料理的方式，都呈現相當的一致性，廣告大部分也走歡樂、溫馨、色彩奔放、活潑的tone調。然而，卻因為某些地區的文化不同，麥當勞會在各地賣起不同的漢堡，找不同地區的代言人；在廣告表現的手法、使用的語言也會略為調整。

主張全球化廣告的學者，提出一些適用於全球化廣告的廣告訊息，及其特有的產品特徵：(Engel,Blackwell,Miniard,1995)

1. 廣告需提供基於相似生活型態的溝通訊息。
2. 廣告內容所訴求的是人類基本的需要與感情。
3. 廣告中所販售的產品能滿足全球的需要與渴望。

Marieke de mooij提出六個不同的全球化廣告策略：

1. 完全標準化─
同一商品或品牌廣告，以同一語言呈現，鮮少或甚至沒有文案，多用於同依品牌傘下的活動，附加至當地廣告上。

2. 半標準化─
One brand，同一廣告形式，使用旁白解釋廣告中演員的對話互動，做到形式上的去地化。

3. 因地制宜的執行元素
One brand,，one form，廣告形式包含許多不同的執行元素。(內容上的去地化)
4. 統一的廣告形式，因地制宜的執行
P&G寶僑家品旗下有很多品牌，通常在廣告不同品牌的相似商品時，會使用一貫的基本廣告形式。例如比較式廣告、試用型廣告。在同一廣告形式中，為不同國家打造不同的執行元素，反應各國文化價值的差異。

5. 全球通行的概念，因地制宜的執行
以一抽象概念或綱領(platform)為基礎，去發展不同的在地化執行。例如麥當勞的I’M LOVIN’ IT。

6. 概念在地化，執行全球化

這種策略的廣告內容通常呈現出全球觀眾皆可瞭解的廣告元素與劇情，重點是，廣告會呈現出一種唯有當地才能瞭解的文化價值，或是目前正流行於當地的價值。

全球化是一種社會過程，在此過程中，在社會和文化安排上所加諸的地理限制正逐漸消退，並且人們也察覺這消退的現象。(Waters)

隨著傳播科技、交通與溝通的進步，全球經貿協議組織的推動以及全球性相同的市場需求，全球行銷對大企業而言已經是個無法規避的經營方向。

全球化分為「去地化」和「再地化」

去地化是指當媒體業者企圖向本國以外的地區輸出其媒介產品時，必須考量自身產品是否能為當地閱聽眾所接受，其中必須去思考文化、政治、社會等背景、語言或價值觀差異，閱聽眾無法從產品中意識到和該產品製造國相關的印象，尋求閱聽眾最不反感、且最共同接受的內容。

麥當勞在打開印度市場時，就先推出素食漢堡，以因應印度人將牛視為神聖象徵的文化差異，作為內容上的去地化；對於從事國際廣告的行銷人員來說，還必須對當地法律限制、科技的發展和消費者洞察(consumer insight)做一通盤了解，不同的產品在不同市場有不同的生命週期(PLC)，在未開發國家可能屬於導入期，在已開發國家可能已進入成熟期，必須針對此做不同的行銷策略修正。

另外，也要注意國際廣告訊息和創意方面的修正。例如在電視廣告配上當地通行的語言或字幕，達到形式上的去地化。

再地化是指當地業者在與跨國媒體的互動中，吸取一些新的經營管理知識，並融入當地特質，將它轉換為本土性的一部份。

全球化並不會消除國家界線與文化差異，使其走向同質化；而是因為全球化帶來異質文化的相互衝擊從而產生對本土特殊性的反思與重新發現。在媒介全球化的過程中，閱聽人有其主動性，能夠自行解讀外來文化，自行建構或接合各種論述，而外來文化也會造成程度不等的文化折價。

廣告主在進行全球行銷與廣告活動時，若選擇全球廣告代理商，如奧美、智威湯遜等，有可能因為對於當地文化了解不深，造成文化折價，必須配合國際廣告常用的兩種策略 ─即標準化策略與地區化策略，彼此折衷使用，一方面利用相類似的廣告策略建立全球統一的品牌形象和品牌知覺，另一方面則用多樣、有創意且符合當地文化的訊息設計，來建立消費者對品牌的偏好度。

此外，產品的實體物流配送仍舊屬於在地化的專業，當企業跨入一個非本國的地區時，在選擇媒體上亦需考量當地的媒體特性，在訊息方面，一個品牌在世界各地意欲傳達的訊息概念可能一致，在呈現方法則會因為文化脈絡而異，由此可知，訊息、通路、媒體都是必須在地化的課題。

一、TVC部分

Malaysia是一個多種族國家，廣告必須考量此因素，才不至於冒犯某一族群。例如：對某一民族而言，用左手是不禮貌的。此外，在馬來西亞，廣告就有多達105條的不成文規定，李奧貝納嘗試在這些規定中尋求一些突破，而事實上，在海外獲得各大廣告獎項也足以說明李奧貝納突破了這些規範，並且大放異彩。

以下就以Leo為馬來西亞當地的一家石油公司PETRONAS所作的廣告為例：

1.Broke the 30 minutes barrier 10 years ago.
這支廣告旨在建立PETRONAS的品牌形象。首先，他們企圖扭轉石油公司就是向地球取資源的負面印象，而塑造一種「取之於大地，就要回饋於大地」的正面形象。另外，他們打破了廣告的時間限制，此廣告配合感性口白，已超越一般廣告時間平均的30秒、60秒，將觀眾置入彷彿在觀賞discovery頻道，一種關懷大地的感性訴求。

2.突破Malaysia總是用膚色淡的廣告演員情境

第一支廣告是為了馬來西亞獨立日所作的，廣告中大膽採用印度人為主角，而不是膚色淡的馬來人。要告訴觀眾本土(Local)並非不好，要以自己的國家和文化為傲。

第二支採用幽默訴求，在馬來西亞的黑人有不同世代的認同價值。老一代的黑人認為自己是英國人，因為他們曾經被英國統治；而年輕一代的以為他們是美國黑人，普遍喜歡Hip Hop文化。故事是說一群年輕黑人在街上把年輕美女，卻在此時看到自己的阿嬷迎面而來，阿嬷的嘮叨讓孫子覺得很尷尬，而美眉卻是在一旁覺得很有趣。和上一支要傳達的訊息相同：要告訴觀眾，本土(Local)並非不好，要以自己的國家和文化為傲。

3.突破語言限制

Malaysia主要語言是馬來語、英語、華語和一些些福建話。以下兩支廣告皆採用比較不同的方言，來吸引觀眾注意。因為觀眾在看電視時，會被自己聽不懂的語言所吸引，是一種反向操作。

第一支是一群歐巴桑用各種不同的方言在討論自己的兒孫，是多麼地有成就。只有一個歐巴桑說他們兒子沒什麼，只是會來接他玩而已，說時遲，那時快，他們兒子就開著轎車，一家人和樂融融地來迎接阿嬷。其他的歐巴桑都噤聲不語，看著對方在車裡幸福地向自己說再見，卻是一股心酸在心頭。又幽默、又充滿情感，略帶一些諷刺，更重要的是帶出了廣告所要傳達的訊息：年輕人不忘本、多和家人團聚。這也是替石油公司打造的一波強烈形象攻勢。


第二支採用一鏡到底的形式，拍一個人一邊唱印度歌，一邊剪草的畫面，最後觀眾才看到這個人原來是個華人。原來華人也會這麼可愛的唱著印度歌。從而帶出Malaysia多元文化的反映。

4.挑戰族群議題

這一系列廣告是導演到學校訪問小學生，採用interview的方式來告訴觀眾：我們的小孩是種族色盲，那為何不讓他們繼續保有這樣的純真呢？像是第一支的小孩被問到race是什麼，他卻說race? racing cars嗎？第二支的小男孩害羞地陳述自己喜歡一個女孩，最後我們才知道他是印度人，但他們還是手牽手地跑掉了。

以上就是Leo為石油公司PETRONAS所作的形象廣告，形象廣告訴求的並不是要賣什麼東西或服務，強調的是一種認同感。Leo Burnett在深入了解Malaysia的背景文化，有著什麼樣的特質，且成功挑戰了許多敏感議題，用漂亮的手法陳述。相信觀眾不只是單向接收到廣告所要傳達的一些訊息，也在廣告裡看到了自己國家社會文化的再現(representation)。


二、網路廣告

1.McDonald's和NOKIA的合作

客戶的brief：要如何讓觀眾記住麥當勞的外送號碼呢？
Solution：用NOKIA的開機畫面(兩隻手相握)置入麥當勞的漢堡圖片，當NOKIA的開機畫面音樂出現時，也帶出麥當勞外送的號碼與優惠，並可立即播打。

2.婦女保護協會

運用Internet的介面，讓觀眾看到畫面上一個男人激動的神情與暴躁的肢體動作，但聽不到他在說什麼。下方有一拉桿，寫著"drag to raise volume"。當觀眾真正拖曳了之後，畫面上的男人就相對地變得越來越小，最後寫著：the more we speak up , the less the abuse. 點選之後就可留下information或者轉寄給其他網友。


三、Direct Marketing

很多人想作廣告就是想做TVC，但是Direct Marketing也是一塊大餅，只要有創意，不管怎樣形式的廣告都可能成功，甚至獲獎。而且相較於TVC，Direct Marketing的競爭更小，Kien鼓勵有心想要從事廣告業的人可以多嘗試不同媒介來發揮創意。

這一方面的精采例子有：
1.為酒商寫給VIP客戶的生日卡，但是空的包裝裡，酒被外送小弟喝掉了，酒商給客戶的訊息就是：別擔心，我們早該料到，現在只要填寫回函，我們就會給你六瓶裝的罐裝啤酒。

2.醒獅秘笈：正值中國年，醒獅秘笈裡有許多舞龍舞獅的招示說明，這些頁面都被粘在一起，想拆開嗎？最後一頁告訴你：不要那麼費心研究招式了，只要多進貨，舞龍舞獅就會免費到你家。

3.best of both world's：一般航空公司訓練機師的地方都在偏僻的，比方說沙漠。馬來西亞航空訓練地卻在接近市中心，可以休閒的好地點。為了傳達這個訊息，Leo burnett設計了一系列告訴機師正反兩面的好功用，例如機師的制服反穿就是度假休閒花襯衫。

此外，還有作成金魚泡在水袋裡的紙張，強調印刷的精美與紙張的耐用；西門子的購物袋可以作成檯燈；抽獎券可以作成鳥的形狀插在聖誕樹上，或者作成魚的形狀投進鯊魚的嘴巴裡；或者飯店為了慶祝聖誕節，在停車位放了被醉倒了的聖誕老人之手，提醒客人開車勿喝酒。這些都是無聊的東西，最後卻變成有趣的創意。再次證明創意無所不在，任何形式都可發揮創意。

傳統以生產面為導向的西方社會學，在六○年代後發生了轉向消費面的變化。美國社會學家衛伯倫（T. Veblen）在一八九九年出版的《有閒階級論》中，一書中，便提出「炫耀性消費」（conspicuous consumption）的觀念。即，富人透過炫耀自己的悠閒生活，以及無須從事「有用」的勞動，來表現出自已相較於他人的尊貴之處。這些富人喜歡用消費的方式，來展示自己到手的財富。也就是說，過去韋伯所說的清教徒精神—辛勤地工作，已經不再是人我分別的依據，而衛伯倫在十九世紀中葉的美國，已經觀察到這種改變了。然而，這種現象並非美國所獨有，德國社會學家齊穆爾亦對現代性多有描述。


直到一九七○年代，當Bourdieu提出以「生活風格」（lifestyle）作為研究社會不平等的新分析面向，影響可謂相當深遠。Bourdieu認為，「社會空間」有兩個層面，一個是「社會位置」，另一個是「生活風格空間」。社會位置指的是個人的客觀生活條件，而具有相同位置的人則組成了某一階級；生活風格則是行動者在象徵體系中的外顯行為。其中，將客觀的社會位置與外顯的生活風格相連結的是「慣習」。亦即，客觀的生活條件塑造了慣習，而慣習又決定了一個人的生活風格。換言之，對Bourdieu而言，生活風格是階級在象徵體系中的外顯形式。Bourdieu在《Distinction》一書中，談的是「階級品味與生活風格」（class taste and lifestyle），而在他之後研究生活風格的後繼者，亦將生活風格是為階級或階層的表現。
